AIMCO Industrial Manipulators incorporate Parallel Linkage to assure the end tool mounting plate remains in a horizontal plane, parallel to the floor throughout the operation of the manipulator.
Parallel Linkage is a design feature incorporated in the manufacture of a manipulator when certain operating criteria exist. Parallel linkage is utilized to assure that the end tool mounting plate remains in a horizontal plane, parallel to the floor, throughout the operation of the manipulator. Parallel linkage also provides a rigid base for mounting end tooling, allows for the use of a greater variety of end tooling and enables the user to reach into hard to reach areas. In addition, parallel linkage allows the manipulator to handle overhung loads, provides the operator with a safe and positive method of lifting, tilting and rotating loads and provides precise control with smooth, flowing action.
